At the end of our school day, I was given a tour of BACS. I learned that love of country is spread wide around BACS and in Bryn Athyn! Here is the headmaster of the school I am visiting. As part of the unit on American Heroes in Social Studies, the students learned about a hero named Harriet Tubman who helped to free many slaves. They wrote key events in the life of Harriet Tubman, and published mini books that are displayed on the board behind me. Harriet Tubman sure was brave for traveling on the Underground Railroad so many times, in spite of the dangers of being caught and harmed. She really loved our country and wanted everyone to be free.
